Words from our owner

"I have always had a dog in my life as my parents loved dogs. However, my dad always had the larger breeds like German Shepherds, Great Danes, St Bernards and Pyrenean Mountain Dogs. I had always wanted a Lassie style collie, and I finally managed to get one which started my interest in the Collie breed. Once I got my first of many Collies, I started them in obedience, agility and scent work competition.

Collies are such a versatile breed; however, they are not as easy as some think. I currently own 5 Border Collies. My training started as a member of a Dog Display team, and I then developed an interest in competitive obedience. Finally, I achieved my lifetime dream of walking on the green carpet at Crufts when myself and Aero qualified for the Dog Obedience Championships at Crufts 2015. A day I will never forget.

I am qualified to judge at Kennel Club shows for obedience at all levels, and I also judge the Kennel Club Good Citizen Tests. I have been training dogs for over 30 years in group sessions, one to one, workshops and courses. I have attended numerous training seminars and continue to do this to maintain my knowledge of the current training methodology. I am a positive, force-free trainer that believes in fun-based, motivational training methods. I hold competitive training courses and also workshops on various training topics".
